Claúsulas con «si»
Si clauses that REQUIRE the past subjunctive and conditional:
- Si clauses with the conditional tense in a study module on the conditional and past subjunctive
- Si clauses with the past subjunctive and conditional tense to express a contrary- to-fact situation.
Si clauses that do NOT use the subjunctive. In order to help you recognize these grammatical patterns, translations are included:
- Si Clauses with the present indicative to speculate about situations that are POSSIBLE.
- Si Clauses with the future tense to speculate about situations that are POSSIBLE.
- Si clauses with command forms (the imperative mood) to speculate about situations that are POSSIBLE.
- Si clauses with the imperfect tense to express a situation that is NOT contrary-to-fact in the past. The imperfect is generally used for habitual actions or situations.
